BBC America’s Orphan Black has benefited from word of mouth more than most shows on TV right now. It’s managed to gain a large and dedicated fan following throughout its first two seasons as a result – though, the show has (unfortunately) never quite been able to capture the kind of ratings many would believe it deserves.
The series is written and shot well; is an actually intriguing addition to the sci-fi genre; and features an amazing Golden Globe-nominated performance(s) from its star Tatiana Maslany. It would be fair to say that Jennifer Lawrence and the X-Men movies have had a mutually beneficial relationship. The Oscar-winning actress jumped into the 2011 soft reboot of the franchise, X-Men: First Class, at a time when she was just on the cusp of exploding into stardom. When the sequel X-Men: Days of Future Pasthit theaters in 2014, a much-more-famous Jennifer Lawrence was a central piece of the film’s marketing and PR campaign.

2015 is a tough year for major franchise sequels, purely because there are so many of them that it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd.
